The Human Behind the Code

From Lomé to Switzerland: A journey of code, music, and continuous learning.

The Professional Journey

From "Aspiring Inventor" to Problem Solver

As a child, I didn't just want to use technology; I wanted to invent it. I dreamed of launching my own satellite. When my mother brought home our first PC (a Windows XP machine with floppy disks), it wasn't just a computer to me—it was a portal.

While other kids played games, my brother and I spent our holidays in training centers, learning the basics. It felt effortless, like a game I was born to play. Although I briefly flirted with Biology after high school, the pull of code was too strong. I switched back to Computer Science, eventually graduating at the top of my class and leading the university's IT Club for two years.

The "Swiss Army Knife" Mindset

My career path hasn't been a straight line; it's been a web of exploration. From coding and system administration to tinkering with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and building my first smart home, I have touched almost every layer of the tech stack.

This versatility comes from two sources:

  1. Insatiable Curiosity: I get bored doing the same thing twice. I thrive on the "new". I can spend a week hunting down a single bug, refusing to let go until I solve it.
  2. Adaptability: The market demanded versatility, so I became a specialist in adaptation. I learn fast, I learn alone, and I learn by doing.

A New Chapter in Switzerland

Love brought me to Switzerland to join my wife. While the move was personal, the professional impact was profound. I immediately resonated with the Swiss work ethic: the obsession with precision and the results-oriented mindset. It felt like I had finally found an environment that matched my own internal standards.

After years of learning from others as an employee—an experience that shaped my professionalism—I realized it was time to return to my core desire: independence. Becoda is the culmination of this journey. It's where my childhood dream of "inventing" meets the Swiss standard of excellence.

My Philosophy: "Invisible Tech"

I believe the best technology is invisible. It should just work.

Whether I am deploying a Docker container, setting up an automation pipeline, or configuring a server, my goal is frictionless efficiency. I combine technical excellence with human empathy. I don't build for machines; I build for the people who use them.

My transition into Generative AI isn't a trend; it's the next step in my quest to make technology work harder for us, so we can work smarter.

Beyond the Screen

🎹 The Pianist's Discipline

For 25 years, the piano has been my teacher. It taught me that mastery comes from repetition, patience, and attention to detail. Debugging a complex script requires the same mindset as learning a Rachmaninoff prelude: break it down, practice, and refine until it flows.

🌍 A Bridge Between Cultures

Native in French and Ewe, fluent in English, and actively mastering German (B1) and Swiss German.
Language is the ultimate operating system. My multicultural background helps me understand diverse perspectives and communicate complex technical concepts simply, no matter who is sitting across the table.
